Tin Foil

Directions: Melt the butter in a microwaveable dish. Stir Sugar in with cooking brush.

You’ll need 4 pieces of tin foil. Enough to wrap the entire ear of corn.

Brush the Sugar/Butter combo all over every single ear of corn then wrap them inside the tin foil. Use a fork to create breathing holes in the tin foil.

Steak & Baked Potato Recipe

What you’ll need:

Baking Potatoes

Steak (More $$$=Better Tasting)

1/2 Cup Soy Sauce

1/2 Cup Water

Ms. Dash

Brown Sugar

Olive Oil

Salt & Pepper

Tin Foil

Butter

Sour Cream

Cheese

Bacon Bites

First make the marinate. Add the Soy Sauce, water, Brown Sugar & into a pot and turn on the stove top. Add the Ms. Dash until the top of the marinate is covered. Stir everything together and let it come to a boil.

Add the steak and marinate into a dish and let sit. The longer it sits, the better tasting.

I usually place the steak in the marinate earlier in the day. Maybe a few hours before I start getting ready for dinner.

Pre-heat the oven to 350 & place the tin foil on the bottom rack. It will be used to catch olive oil that drips.

Washed the potatoes off and use a fork to puncture breathing holes. Grab you olive oil and pour it into a plate, add the salt & pepper then roll the potatoes until they’re covered.  You want to bake for about an hour & an half.

With about 30 minutes left for the potatoes; turn the grill on & get ready to put the steak on. Only flip the steak occasionally & never press down on, you’ll loose all the flavor.   Do not throw the marinate away! Put it into a container and use it for either pork or chicken!

You’ll have to be your own judge on how you want your steak cooked. Everyone differs. I like mine Medium-Rare.

Once the potatoes have finished, pull em out and cut about 3 to 4 inch line and then from the top & bottom squeeze the potatoes. Add you’re favorite toppings and enjoy!

If you’ve tried these at home, please let me know how it went!

Baby Back BBQ Ribs & Spicy Fries

This is fairly simple recipe in my eyes but it all depends on the ribs you decide to use. I use pork baby back ribs. You can usually find a good deal for a couple of slabs at BJs.

What you’ll need:

2 Slabs of Baby Back Pork Ribs

Ms. Dash (Original Seasoning)

Bulls-Eye BBQ Sauce

Large Cookie Sheet

Brush for BBQ Sauce

Bag of Spicy fries in the freezer section of your local grocery store.

Go ahead and preheat you’re oven to about 350 degrees while you clean the slabs off.

Place each slab of ribs on the cookie sheet and sprinkle Ms. Dash all over both sides of each slab.

Place the cookie sheet (with slabs) into the oven and set a timer for 60 minutes.  This will cook all of the fat off of the ribs and allow the pork to pull right off the bone.

Go ahead & preheat the grill about 45 minutes into the timer. Once the 60 minutes is up, place the ribs on the grill. Bring out the Bulls-Eye BBQ Sauce and the brush. Begin to lather the top side of both slabs of ribs. Coat the top of the slabs heavily and then flip them immediately and then coat the back side. I cook each side about 10-15 minutes. Don’t walk away from the grill. You want to check on them every few minutes. Make sure to flip to the other side.

Cut into the side of the ribs to check the color of the pork. Too Much Pink for you? Keep on the grill for a bit longer. You never want to over cook any type of meat, you’ll loose all the flavor.

I like to deep fry the spicy fries but the oven will do just as well. If you plan to use the oven, remember fries usually take about 20 minutes or so. So I would place them directly into the oven as soon as you place the ribs on the grill.

and remember its not a BBQ unless its messy, so please don’t use a fork & knife.

up next: Steak & a Baked Potato.

Propane or Charcoal

The mighty debate between cooks in this country. Well I prefer to use Propane. Why? I can control the heat and not have to worry about under or over cooking any meals that I use the grill for. Yes Charcoal probably gives better flavor but I believe the flavor comes from what spices & marinade are used prior to throwing the B/P/C on the grill. Another reason has to do with the 3 step process.

1. Turn on the Propane

2. Open the Grill

3. Hit the Ignition

All Propane grills also come with a thermometer built into the top of the grill which leaves the “guess how hot” out the door.

first recipe will be good ol BBQ Pork Baby Back Ribs…….
